A view from near the top of the Botanical Gardens, looking northwest towards Tinakori Hill and Thorndon, and the western hiils of Wellington Harbour. Some of the harbour is visible. The foreground hills show some tree clearing and formed paths or tracks through the bush. In the left foreground is the top part of a norfolk pine.
