Description

A function was held at 3 NZ Rest Home in Cairo to bid farewell to Miss Emily May Nutsey, Matron in Chief of the New Zealand Army Nursing Service. Here Matron Nutsey is seen, with Matron Eva Constance Mackay (1 NZ General Hospital) and Subaltern M King, holding a silver dish and tray. These gifts were from the sisters of the ANS and medical officers of 1 NZ General Hospital and NZ WAACs, respectively. Photograph taken circa 12 November 1943 by George Robert Bull.
