Description

Two women, one with hair in curlers and scarf, talk over a back fence. There is a washing basket on the ground and beans growing up wire against the fence. A downcast man sits in the doorway of the wash-house (wringer washing machine and tub in background). Through the back door is the kitchen with a kettle on a gas stove.
