Marianne Allen Manchester, photographed circa 1865 (probably in England) by an unidentified photographer. She sits in a chair with her hands in her lap. She wears a crinoline frock, a shawl around her shoulders, a cross around her neck, and a ribbon and flower in her hair.
Inscriptions: Verso - Marrianne [sic] Allen Manchester. Born Brighton 13 Nov 1853 [sic]. Left London for NZ in the "Excelsior" 23 April 1879 (aged 16 yrs, 5 months). Arrived Auck 3 Aug, 1870. Married John Tasker, Gisborne, 11 May 1874. Died 4 Feb 1911 Wgton. John Tasker B 4 Oct 1847 Liverpool. D 25 Nov 1906 Wgton. Eldest son - James Manchester Tasker B 9 July 1880 Wfton. Had 5 girls and 2 boys, 29 grandchildren and at 11 July 1948 - 27 great grandchildren.
