Description

Shows a plan of the lower deck of a passenger ship, with quarters for married couples, 20 single women, a female hospital, 20 single men, and a male hospital.

Original drawing for the illustration in "Making New Zealand", 1939. According to the note on the file print in Turnbull Library Pictures, the original ship plan is at Archives New Zealand "NZC 34/11".
