The Bringing the Records Home Fellowship was established in 1993 jointly by the British Council and the Waitangi Foundation to commemorate the centenary of women's suffrage in New Zealand.
The Fellowship was established to send a New Zealand archivist to Great Britain in order to identify New Zealand women's suffrage material held in British institutions. The identified material was reproduced and the collected documents were lodged in the Alexander Turnbull Library.
