Three quarters frontal portrait of a seated young woman, her arms resting on chair arms
Pencil note under drawing when in Gideon and Walter Mantell Scrapbook (E-295-q): "marked original Rubens". Paper with inscription, cut from scrapbook, from an unknown page, is adhered to back of backing board.
Inscriptions: Verso - bottom centre - in sepia ink 'Golcius' [i.e. Dutch artist Hendrik Goltzius (1558-1616), probably an earlier attribution]

Transfers: Source was Gideon and Walter Mantell's scrapbook transferred to E-295-q from qMS, 1970s.
