A small boat, probably on the Nile, with hills in the background
Possibly painted during the artist's war service in Egypt. This may have been intended as an illustration to John Evelyn Broad's book 'Poor people, poor us' (Wellington, 1946). The other works by Allen Broad held by the Library, with the same provenance as this work are all book illustrations.
