Shows Pipi Kutia, daughter of Te Akau and Hapekituarangi. She was Te Rauparaha 's step-daughter & he married her ca 1838. See Burns, P. Te Rauparaha.. (Wgtn, 1980) p. 195. Pipi Kutia is shown in profile, head and shoulders only, wrapped in a blanket, her hair in a distinctive high mass above her head.
