- Description
French President Jacques Chirac dressed as Marie Antoinette, gesturing towards a crowd of New Zealanders beyond the palace fence. In the front of the crowd are David Lange, Roger Douglas and Mike Moore. There are many Campaign for Nuclear Disarmament signs and a banner marked 'N.Z. Butter!'. The implication is that France cares nothing for New Zealand's anti-nuclear protests and for its complaints about the treatment its butter exports have been receiving from the European Economic Community
