Pencil sketch is a preliminary sketch for Plate 12 in "Illustrations to adventure in New Zealand" (1845), "Porirua Harbour and Paramatta whaling station, 1843", showing two food drying platforms in the right foreground, the curve of Porirua Harbour, and the entrance to Paremata Harbour in the right distance.
