Description

An unhappy family at dinner in the kitchen, sitting under a sign reading 'Give us this day our daily allowance.'

Extended Title - Husband - 'Here, mother, what does this mean? I'm getting higher wages, yet there's less butter and smaller meat and that half cooked.' Wife - 'And there's less coal to cook it with. The higher your wages rise, the food prices rise higher still.'
