Description

Political cartoon possibly published in Punch during the American Civil War 1861-1865. It shows two exhausted boxers, one called `North' and the other `South', each being supported by a negro. In the background is a man with a lion's head, and a man dressed as an admiral with an eagle's head. The Admiral is saying "Don't you think we ought to fetch the Police".
