Photograph of a receipt dated 11 January 1933, from Charles Kingsford Smith, for 100 pounds from his first paying air passenger S E Neilson, for a flight between Sydney to New Plymouth on board the 'Southern Cross'. Receipt written on letterhead paper from Tattersall's Club, Sydney, Australia. Photographer unidentified, possibly an Evening Post staff photographer.

Text reads: Received from S E Neilson of New Plymouth the sum of one hundred pounds being fare for Tasman crossing Sydney to New Plymouth in Southern Cross. First commercial passenger. with thanks C Kingsford Smith 11 Jany 1933"
