Front cover shows an illustration of a smiling man and woman studying an architectural plan for their house which is already nearly complete in the background. The inside explains the government's housing policy, including the fact that a house can now have increased floor area (1500 square feet) and still qualify for a housing loan. State tenants can now buy the houses they are living in, if they wish. Temporary transit flats are planned to get families out of tents, shacks, stables, basements and other unsuitable dwellings. Abolition of Land Sales control over urban property in February 1950 has swept away red tape obstructed home buyers.
