Description

Scene alongside Lake Virginia, Wanganui, photographed by Sydney Charles Smith circa 1920s-30s. Looks over flax bushes and cabbage trees towards the lake. Shows a monument on a hill at the edge of the lake, consisting of a waka stood on one end and decorated inside with kowhaiwhai pattens. A gazebo is further in the distance.
