- Description
Design drawing for an advertisement for Anchor butter shows a sailing ship in the upper part. It is seen through a window from an interior foreground table set with a fine white tablecloth, wine glasses, fruit bowl, a plate of butter balls, plates, napkins, forks, and a long elegant candle burning in a candlestick at the right. Part of a chair with a barley twist carved upright can be seen at the far right. There is a one-pound wrapped block of Anchor butter at lower left, and anchors in the lower corners.
Dated from the time of appearance in the Christchurch Star Christmas number, 1 December 1938.
