Description

Shows the orderly lines of the British troops at the left confronting the advancing hordes of the Khalifa's army. The front line of British troops fire their guns, while behind the lines other lines ready themselves, the wounded are treated and gunboats wait in the river to the far left. In the left distance in the Mahdi's tomb.
