A street scene outside two buildings, one on the right with a large crowd in its verandah, possibly awaiting mail; the smaller on the left, with a label by its front, door, possibly 'Post Office' has two women and a child about to enter it. The building was located on a corner site in Princes Street, Auckland
Ellis no. 591. Attributed in Ellis to Nicholas Chevalier, although the basis for this attribution is not known
