Half length frontal portrait of a Taranaki Maori chief with full moko. He is wearing a cloak held together with a bone clasp

Rawiri is the Maori form of the English name David. Rawiri died in 1855 and his grave is shown in E-453-f-002-2 'Rawiri Wairua's grave & the spot where he fell. 1855' and in E-453-f-0 'Rawiri's widow'
