Description

The sailing ship 'Yorkshire' at Port Chalmers, photographed by David Alexander De Maus possibly in 1869 when the 'Yorkshire' came to the aid of shipwrecked passengers from the 'Blue Jacket' in February 1869 (See 'White Wings' p 329a). She is listed in Lloyd's Register (1868-1869) as making a voyage from London to Australia, under Captain E Reynell.
