New Zealand scenery photographed circa 1870s. Views include the Pink and White Terraces and Lake Rotomahana; a digger's hut in the Tararua Range; Mercury Bay; carriers changing horses in Oripi bush; a group of Maori holding a runanga at an unidentified meeting house; two views of the new road being created between Lake Coleridge and Hokitika.
