"Wd" Class steam locomotive, NZR 323, 2-6-4T type after an accident in which the coal bunker has been pushed into the back of the cabin. Photograph taken by Albert Percy Godber.
"Wd" 323 was built by Baldwin Locomotive Works, Philadelphia (maker's no. 18550/01), went into service in May 1901, and was written of in June 1933.
