The photographer (A P Godber) standing by the Wab class locomotive (NZR no. 686), photographed at the Petone Railway Workshops in 1917. Note on back of file print reads: "A P Godber with Wab class loco 686, 1917. Formerly Ws type, different bogie".

Original print in Pa1-q-102 (Godber album, Vol 109, p 21). Inscription in album reads: "Ws" type - later reclassified "Wab" with altered bogie. Wab 686. 1917.
