Description

Series of photographs of the memorial service, and luncheon given by people of Galatas, in Sep 1945. Shows Maori Battalion choir lead by Padre Capt W T Huata; guests of honour at the luncheon held where NZ Divisional HQ were situated in 1941; march past and band of Maori Battalion; war cemetery at Galatas; local Cretans including priests; Naval Guard of Honour from cruiser Ajax.
