Piula Methodist Mission College at Lufilufi, 12 miles from Apia, Western Samoa, photographed ca 1930 byan unkbnown photographer. The children in this photograph are probably the offspring of the trainees. They wear the sash which was traditionally worn on White Sunday, when a special service was held for children.
The Piula Methodist Mission College at Lufilufi was where missionaries for New Britain, the Papuan Islands, and the Solomon Islands trained alongside candidates for the ministry in Samoa. The college still stands today.
