New Zealand Prime Minister David Lange, standing at the door at a cocktail party does not recognise Michael Savage ('Mickey"'), Prime Minister in 1935 and one of the four 1935 'shades of traditional Labour' standing outside. The other three ghosts are Robert Semple, Minister of Public Works, Peter Fraser, Minister of Health and of Education (later to be Prime Minister) and Walter Nash, Minister of Finance (later to be Prime Minister). Refers to the belief that the Labour Government had moved a long way from its traditional constituency
