Cartoon showing Thomas Dick and Sir George Grey fighting with boxing gloves over the 'Otago Run Challenge Cup', i.e. over land tenure issues. On the left behind Thomas Dick, is Sir Frederick Whitaker, applauding and to the right is Sir Harry Atkinson as an observer. The cup over which the men are fighting is marked 'Pro Patria', and has a label attached with the words "Otago runs'
