Description

Under the heading 'The British Prime Minister has been advertised' the cartoonist has drawn three advertisements for New Zealand's Prime Minister, Walter Nash. The first shows him dressed as an Edwardian toff with a walking stick and monocle - the words say 'Jolly Walter born 1883 - still going strong'; the second Shows Walter Nash with a naked torso standing above three unhappy children who are being forced to drink 'Labour's emulsion'; and the third shows him with a bib around his neck eating 'Nashional breakfast' (play on Nash), a plate full of porridge representing 'import restrictions' - the words below say 'Boy! What a plateful!' Seems to be alluding to an unpopular prime minister.
