In 1974 MP Venn Young introduced a Crimes Amendment Bill to legalise Homosexuality for people 21 and over. In 1975 when the bill came before the house, MP Dr Gerald Wall proposed amemdments making it an offence to to discuss homosexuality with persons under the age of 20. Hence this particular demonstration. The bill failed to be passed into law.
