A large cleared field with a team of horses ploughing in the distance (site of The Straight); a panorama of three images of cleared land with three men surveying in the right hand image (site of the present racecourse); similar panorama with fencing in the foreground; horses and carts on a flat road (also site of The Straight); and possibly a work camp of huts and tents on one side of some trees with five men, four with dogs standing on the other (site of the tea kiosk). Photographer was York Studio.
