Aerial photograph over Parnell, Auckland, looking east. The near part of the view includes part of Auckland Domain, Carlaw Park, Newmarket Branch Railway, and New Zealand Railways diesel locomotive sheds under construction. The part of Parnell in the view includes Cheshire Street, Falcon Street, Parnell Road, Heather Street, and Parnell Rise.
Beyond are Stanley Street, Symonds Street, Alten Road, Alten Reserve, Waterloo Quadrant, Anzac Avenue, and Beach Road.
This image was published in the New Zealand Free lance on 19 July 1956.
