Refers to Education Minister, Trevor Mallard, not being immediately informed about an email from NZQA that contained information relating to the high fail rate of students in the 2004 NCEA scholarship examinations. Mallard came under a lot of criticism from the Opposition over the time he took to respond to the educational crisis.
