Campo PG 78/1, Aquafredda, was a work camp 2,000 feet up in the hills north east of Sulmona. It was administered from Campo PG 78 at Sulmona (see Prisoners of War; W Wynne Mason; War History Branch, Department of Internal Affairs, Wellington, New Zealand, 1954; pps 207-08, and 223).
