Portrait of a woman identified as Pare Kauangare, wearing traditional Maori clothing, part of which is decoratedwith peacock feathers. The young woman has a moko and is wearing a huia tail feather behind each ear. Photograph taken by William Henry Thomas Partington in early 1900s, probably at Wanganui.
