Description

Shows the jet plume of the Wairoa Geyser "which is an intermittent fountain of steam and water, plays to a height of 100 feet, affording a magnificent sight to visitors. it is one of the biggest of the many geysers which abound in New Zealand". The handwritten message on the verso is dated 8 January 1913, and is from Pansy to May.
