- Description
Shows the Prime Minister Robert Muldoon, singing a song of welcome into New Zealand for reformed Irish terrorists, presumably to the tune of: "If you're Irish, come into the parlour". The venue is the Gumdiggers and Punters Social Club. At the grand piano, scratching his head over the sheet music for "The Policy" is Minister of Immigration Frank Gill.
The wording of the song is: "If you're a terrorist, come into New Zealand/ There's a welcome here for you. / If your past be bigotry and hate / No matter what the crime / Drop your bazooka at the gate. / If you come from the rubble of Belfast / Or from Ulster's fiery hue, / We'll have you along, you're gonna like us / If you've stopped bombing, hop on a bus / If you're sorry, this is the place for you".
