Description

Part 1 of a 2 part panorama depicting Taihape township. The railway station is in the foreground. Behind this is a sign advertising the Federal Coffee Palace. On the right are the dining and supper rooms of Ike Plunkett and, next door, a sign advertising a "Fried fish supply". Also visible in the centre are signs on shops advertising W J White and Son, F J O'Keefe, Hautapu Tearooms, Wong Kee and J R Cunningham. Photograph taken by Frederick George Radcliffe circa 1914.
