A portrait of the mother of Sarah Harriet Selwyn, the wife of Bishop George Augustus Selwyn, shows Lady Richardson seated in a chair with her feet on a low cushioned footstool. Her white lace bonnet has frills around the face and is trimmed with pink ribbon that hangs down on both sides.
