A Republic Royal Mail bus owned by Graham and Gebbies parked outside the Fernhill Hotel, Hawkes Bay. Photograph taken by Henry Whitehead circa 1920s.
Note on back of file print reads: "The bus was owned by "Grahame & Gebbies", left Hastings at approx 7.30 am. Solid tyres and possibly chain driven to the rear wheels, & the make would be "Republic". Jim Painter was the driver in 1921 and drove it for many, many years. Its trip ended at Waiwhare from where it returned to Hastings."
