Album, probably compiled by Emily Hill, née Knowles, of Napier, containing carte-de-visite portraits of Maori (mostly by Foy Brothers of Thames) and views of the gannet colony at Cape Kidnappers. Photographs taken ca 1880s. Album also contains "Lay me low", a poem written 18 January 1880 by William Colenso at Waipukurau.
