Shows a family dressed in rugby gear, waiting to catch a ball marked Budget. The opposing team is led by Arnold Nordmeyer, Minister of Finance, with the Prime Minister, Walter Nash to one side and other Cabinet Ministers behind them. Nordmeyer is about to kick the ball. The reference to the Lion's share on a placard is to the visiting Lions Rugby team, but also to the burden placed on families by Nordmeyer's previous 'Black budget' and fears that his second budget will be equally severe.
