Parliament Buildings, Wellington, photographed by the Tyree Studio between 1896 and 1898. Molesworth Street is in the foreground. Hill Street is on the right. St Mary's Cathedral tower is visible.

The building on the right was built as the Provincial Buildings and became Parliament Buildings when central government moved to Wellington in 1865. It was later replaced by the General Assembly building.
The Parliament Buildings on the left were destroyed by a fire in 1907.
