- Description
The remains of a dead tree, probably a rata, with a trunk divided from the base and united about half-way up. Epiphytic growths on the supporting trunk. In the background are Evans Bay, the Miramar Peninsula and the Eastbourne hills and Orongorongo hills. The view is either from high on Mount Victoria or, more probably, from Wadestown or Tinakori Hill
