Ranks of soldiers on flat land in the foreground, with a fenced raupo cottage to the left. On a hill behind, Ruapekapeka Pa, ringing with bursts of gunfire smoke and with rockets shooting up the hill to left towards it.
Based on watercolours by Cyprian Bridge and John Williams, but with the addition of the smoke of shell burst and rocket fire
