The Vaughan family camping at Paraparaumu beach, pictured outside McLean's `whare' (an early beach house). Shows the children seated at a table and standing outside the cabin, and Mrs Vaughan stirring a boiling pot. Dune grasses, flax, and Toi Toi surround the building. Photograph taken in 1914, by an unidentified photographer.
