Description

Shows raupo and thatched houses with out-houses in a clearing with bush behind.

Titled, signed and dated in pencil on mount; similarly titled on picture, and on verso in ink in another hand.

Inscriptions: Recto - bottom left - [Title]; Verso - Later they added to it and on Aug. 30th 1853 Mary E. Richmond was born there. The house was then called Merton after Grannie Richmond's one near Wimbledon.
