Shows text and eight pictures of Oamaru buildings, their rateable value and the number of employees, compared with figures before No-License. The implication is a refutation of the allegation that No-License reduces rateable value and decreases employment. The buildings shown are: the old Alliance Hotel puled down and replaced by the new Polytechnic, the Imperial Hotel converted into premises for Harold L Familton Ltd and H Benson, the Star and Garter Hotel converted into premises for Darling & McDowell, the Empire Hotel converted partially into a grocery store, and the Commercial Hotel converted into a fruiterer and confectioner.
