- Description
Shows a symmetrical, slightly stylised, elevation from the sea of Mount Taranaki (Egmont), with its lower slopes bush-clad. In the left distance is the silhouette of a range of hills, possibly peaking in Pouakai, with Patuha in the extreme left distance. If these are correctly identified, the view is from the South-west.
Note that original sketch was made on 2 February 1845.
