The 'Rona' was a steel screw steamer of 6205 grt, built in 1918 by Sir R Dixon & Co., Middlesborough; owned by the Colonial Sugar Refining Co., Ltd., Sydney. See Lloyd's Register (1921-1922). Still registered in "Ships in the Australian, New Zealand & Islands registers" (1951).
